The employer brand team at Experian had a simple mission – to showcase its award-winning, people-first culture through authentic employee experiences and stories. The global team is small but responsible for delivering brand strategy and performance across the FTSE-listed business, which has offices in 30+ countries. Regional team members localise the global employer brand strategy and have become trusted advisors in the business, as well as enhancing cross-functional collaboration. Experian’s EB team focuses across a broad range of brand activations, from creating and curating engaging content, analytics, social media management and employee advocacy.

In January 2023 the team designed and delivered a global careers site refresh, having upskilled in Adobe Experience Manager to complete the project. This included consolidating the site down from more than 40 pages to 13, improving the user experience and ensuring it showcased the culture and employer value proposition. Real Experian colleagues feature in more than 90% of the imagery. The new site makes it easier for jobseekers to discover Experian, understand its purpose, apply for open opportunities and sign up to its talent communities.

Employees can access a monthly employer brand newsletter and SharePoint site where they can download EB materials, training and thought leadership. This helps keep internal stakeholders informed of the company’s progress and performance on social media and Glassdoor. Improved employer branding (validated by an increased Employer Branding Index Rating) has meant the company has grown applications organically by more than a third, its global Glassdoor rating has improved and is well above average, and the company is engaging with talent at unprecedented levels. In Jan 2024 Experian was recognised for the first time in both the Top 50 UK and Top 100 US Glassdoor Best Places to Work 2024 lists.
