Nordeus ups its employer brand game with site refresh

Nordeus is a mobile games company based in Belgrade, Serbia. Its culture is built on “individually amazing, together unstoppable” and it needed to showcase this on its employer website and team communications. Feedback showed that candidates often asked questions about Nordeus teams, the disciplines they cover and the company’s overall structure. It wanted to show candidates what life at Nordeus would be like, so the faces on its refreshed site are employees, or “Nordeans”.

The company wanted to demystify a perception that the business was unapproachable by showing the real people behind the brand. In playful, gamified videos applicants can see Nordeus employees working in their teams with a symbol of the work they do. Navigation journeys have been customised to different talent audiences – whether the candidate is an engineer, senior or junior, the website will speak to their interests. Thanks to the revamp, candidates come better prepared and hiring managers do not have to spend the first part of an interview walking them through the process or the company.

Candidate journeys include pages for early talent, a deep-dive into tech challenges for senior engineers, and what to expect from living in Belgrade if someone is thinking of moving there. Candidates can also discover more about the games Nordeus produces and its social impact through the Nordeus Foundation. Direct traffic to the site has gone up considerably, active users are up and referrals and affiliate leads have increased. Every design, copy, and story is fully personalised for Nordeus – its culture, people, products, and brand.
