Siemens is a global tech powerhouse with over 300,000 talented individuals working across 190-plus countries. However, outdated perceptions of the business were hurting applications, so it needed to find the right employer brand communications that would attract and retain talent. It built a core team of internal talent acquisition and comms experts from around the globe that would organise the strategy, develop it and roll it out.

The team recruited a network of over 130 brand champions across global markets to ensure that the employer brand could be localised and that communications were coherent. The EVP highlighted Siemens as a diverse and vibrant culture, showing the impact of its work and the vast potential for career development. Brand ambassadors hosted events and shared merchandise to get employees excited about sharing their stories.

Many shared their experiences over video and social media channels, and employees were invited to create their own resources using Canva to evangelise about life at Siemens. Every time an employee shared content featuring the company on social media, it would donate to charity. As a result, job applications have increased globally, and Siemens has been formally recognised as a top employer at key tech events and by publishers. The talent team turned an out-of-date brand perception on its head and has made Siemens a desirable employer.
